Ok so Christmas is fast approaching, although I am dead excited for the festive season I am also slightly concerned how fast this year has gone? I can’t recall what has happened this year to be honest.
So thought I would put together a fun blog of Christmas questions ! To get us all thinking Christmas!
All time favourite Christmas film?
So this question is actually extremely hard! How can you just pick one when you have films such as Elf, home alone 1 & 2, the grinch, muppets Christmas carol, the polar express and jingle all the way. However I think I would have to go with Miracle on 34th street as my favourite Christmas movie, it is so magical and a happy feel good film ! everything you want in a Christmas movie.
Where will I be spending Christmas and who with?
For the first time in my life I am actually unsure what I will be doing this Christmas. Usually it is spent with my dads side of the family, we get together Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We go to church on Christmas Eve. This has to be my favourite part of Christmas, it is so special, the church is always jam packed, we sing the classic Christmas carols and watch a nativity play that the children put on.
What is my favourite Christmas song?
There is so many to chose from ! isn’t it amazing that every year without fail you listen to the same Christmas songs. Mariah Carey, Slade, Wham! and so many more. You cannot beat a good classic.
Hands down my favourite Christmas song is ‘Fairytale of New York’ from The Pogues, I don’t know what it is about this song but I just love it !
If I could spend Christmas somewhere else where would it be??
Of course there is no better place to be on Christmas than with your family ! so I would only go somewhere else if they could come with me ! The place I would choose is most definitely New York !!! and the reason I choose this place is because of Home Alone. I just loved the snow and the big Christmas tree. I just think it looks magical.
What is my favourite food at Christmas time?
Obviously the ultimate best is the Christmas dinner. The turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing, cauliflower cheese and all the other jazz you have on your dinner! However there is nothing better than getting your cheese board out ! packed with so many different types of cheeses, grapes and crackers! I love this!
What I prefer, a real Christmas tree or artificial?
I think there has only been one year where we have had a real Christmas tree! and don’t get me wrong it was lovely, the smell that it gave off was incredible ! however at the time we had a crazy cat that would just climb everything so there was thorns everywhere. So we have kind of stuck with artificial ones. I would like to get a real one though!
Just a little song my mum would always sing to us when Christmas was approaching
“Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat, please put a penny in the old man hat. if you haven’t got a penny then a ha’penny will do, if you haven’t a ha’penny then god bless you!”
Thanks for reason guys! hope you are all starting to feel Christmassy just like me!
